Method: standard solar PV grant = €700 per kWp for the first 2 kWp plus €200 per kWp between 2 and 4 kWp, capped at €1,800. Annual electricity value = modelled on-site generation × import rate + exports × export rate. Payback = (gross price − selected PV grant) / annual electricity value. No separate battery grant is applied and batteries are not given assumed extra savings, so quotes with and without storage are not directly comparable by this estimate. No degradation, tariff changes, maintenance, tax, interest, inverter replacements or finance costs are included. Validate every yield estimate independently. Values are illustrative, not quotes or advice.
Ask every company to specify total installed price, PV module model and number, inverter model and capacity, usable battery capacity (if any), installation scope, scaffolding, monitoring, system yield assumptions and written warranties.
A cheap quote may omit scaffolding, roof works or required electrical upgrades. A higher-priced quote may include a battery that another does not. Compare the equipment and exclusions before weighing price per kWp.
