COMPOUND / THE DETAILS

Cookie policy

Last updated: 14 September 2026

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This page explains which ones are used on Compound (compound.ie).

Analytics storage

Compound uses Google Analytics 4 only with your permission. Analytics helps us understand which pages are read, how readers found the site and whether articles are read to different depths. Analytics storage is denied by default. If you allow it, Google Analytics may store identifiers in your browser for measurement. We do not send names, email addresses, calculator entries or form values to Analytics.

Your analytics choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so the site can remember it. This preference is necessary to respect the choice you made. Use Analytics settings in the footer to allow, decline or change your choice. Declining does not stop you reading anything.

Advertising cookies

If advertising is shown on the site, it is served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies to serve ads and to measure them, and, only with your consent, to personalise ads based on your visits to this and other websites.

Visitors in the European Economic Area and the UK are shown a consent message before any personalised advertising cookie is set. You can refuse, accept, or change your choice later using the privacy settings link in the footer of every page. Refusing does not stop you reading anything.

You can also manage advertising cookies directly with Google at Google’s Ads Settings, and learn how Google uses data from sites that show its ads at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Controlling cookies in your browser

Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies through its settings. Blocking all cookies will not affect your ability to read Compound.

YOUR PRIVACY

Help us understand what gets read.

With your permission, anonymous Google Analytics measurements tell us which articles are useful. We do not send calculator entries or form values. You can decline and still read everything.
